Amanpuri Retail Pavilion is a project which features a hybrid steel and timber structure, covering the new retail shop of the luxury resort of Amanpuri, located on the island of Phuket in Thailand.

The main features of the structure is a series of steel columns, glulam fins and CLT plank which serve as a bracing diaphragm.

The challenge of this structure is the apparent simplicity. The key design component is an invisible connection between the glulam fins and the steel columns.

Studio Oktoplus has provided the design of the structure from tender stage to construction stage.
